Security Alert: Loaded Gun Magazine Found on Frontier Airlines Plane at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

The discovery of a loaded gun magazine on a Frontier Airlines plane at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta prompted the involvement of the FBI. The magazine was found near Gate C-6 in Concourse C by a passenger on the aircraft. The magazine contained ten hollow point rounds and was marked with the initials "K H."
Upon the discovery, officers from the Atlanta Police Department responded to the incident and coordinated with various agencies, including TSA, DOA, Homeland Security, and Atlanta Police K-9 units. The aircraft was evacuated, and a thorough search was conducted, but no additional items of concern were found. Subsequently, TSA screened all passengers again, and the flight departed safely.
The FBI was notified of the incident, although no active threats were indicated at the time. A Frontier Airlines spokesperson informed FOX 5 Atlanta that the ammunition belonged to a law enforcement officer who was on an earlier flight. The ammunition and magazine were taken into the custody of the Atlanta Police Department, and the property owner was referred to retrieve his items.
Despite the airline's confirmation, investigators have not yet determined the owner of the magazine. Passengers expressed surprise at the situation, with one passenger mentioning that such an incident was unprecedented for them. While some passengers felt that there was no immediate danger, others expressed concerns about potential risks.
Frontier Airlines did not provide an immediate response to inquiries from Fox News Digital regarding the incident. The investigation into the ownership of the gun magazine continues, highlighting the importance of security measures and vigilance in air travel.
