Rock and Roll History: Gary Rossington's Ponte Vedra Residence Available for Purchase

The Ponte Vedra residence previously owned by Gary Rossington, the late guitarist of Lynyrd Skynyrd, is now available for purchase at a price of $2.35 million. Rossington's family, including his widow Dale and daughters Annie and Mary, acquired the property in 2023 through the Rossington Family Trust for $2.1 million. The decision to buy the home was influenced by their desire to be closer to Lynyrd Skynyrd's roots in Jacksonville and the final resting places of Rossington and fellow band member Ronnie Van Zant. The sale of the property is being managed by Bryce Ocepek, the owner of Coldwell Banker Anabasis Realty.

The listing photos of the house showcase a collection of autographed guitars, hotel passes from numerous tours, and a display of signed Mickey Mantle baseballs. Ocepek described the interior as a "rock and roll museum," attracting visitors with its impressive memorabilia collection.

Gary Rossington, known for his role as the guitarist in Lynyrd Skynyrd and his contributions to hits like Free Bird and Sweet Home Alabama, was recognized for his musical talent and dedication to the band. His wife, Dale, is also a talented singer who has performed lead vocals with the Rossington Collins Band and The Rossington Band, as well as providing backing vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Together, they released music under the name Rossington, continuing their musical legacy.
