Mark Tremonti's Memorable Jam with Brian Johnson at Johnny Damon's Wedding in 2004
Mark Tremonti, the guitarist of Alter Bridge and Creed, shared a memorable experience of jamming with AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson at former baseball player Johnny Damon's wedding in Florida in 2004. Tremonti approached Johnson at the wedding and asked him to join him onstage to play some songs. Johnson enthusiastically agreed, and they ended up performing three songs together, including Led Zeppelin's "Rock And Roll." Despite the opportunity, they did not play any AC/DC songs during their impromptu performance.
The year 2004 was significant for Tremonti as Creed disbanded, and he formed Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips. Alter Bridge released their debut single, "Open Your Eyes," shortly after Creed's breakup. Since then, Alter Bridge has released seven studio albums, with their eighth self-titled album set to be released on January 23 via Napalm Records. Creed reunited twice, first from 2009 to 2012 and again in 2023, while Tremonti continued his musical journey with Alter Bridge.
AC/DC recently announced tour dates for 2026, with shows scheduled in South America and North America from February to September. The tour will kick off at Estádio do MorumBIS in São Paulo, Brazil, on February 24. Fans can expect an electrifying performance from the legendary rock band as they hit the stage once again.
