Liberty Field Hockey Dominates Class 1A State Final with Strategic Scheduling and Strong Performance
Liberty coach Brenda Strohmer strategically scheduled early-season matches against strong field hockey teams like Notre Dame Prep, Broadneck, and McDonogh to prepare her team for tough competition. In the Class 1A state final against Fallston, Liberty dominated from the start, scoring three goals in the first 22 minutes and securing a 6-1 victory at Stevenson University. Sophomore Lacey Odachowski scored a hat trick, supported by goals and assists from Tessa Becraft and Tori Schmitz, as well as assists from freshman Faith Kim.
