Miss Universe Executive Removed from Pageant After Confrontation with Miss Mexico: Updates and Sanctions

The Miss Universe executive Nawat Itsaragrisil has been removed from this year's pageant after a confrontation with Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch. Raúl Rocha, the president of Miss Universe, announced the decision and additional sanctions against Itsaragrisil in a video shared on social media. The sash presentation has been postponed to avoid interaction with Itsaragrisil, and legal action may be taken against him.

Itsaragrisil berated Bosch during the sashing ceremony for not participating in a sponsorship shoot. The exchange was caught on video and live-streamed on social media. Itsaragrisil called Bosch a "dummy" and ordered security to remove her from the room, leading other contestants to walk out in solidarity with Bosch.

Itsaragrisil apologized for the incident on social media and during a press conference, expressing regret for his actions. The 2025 Miss Universe pageant is still scheduled to take place in Thailand on Nov. 21. The Miss Universe president emphasized the importance of respect and dignity towards women and condemned Itsaragrisil's behavior.
