Drake Milligan's Tumbleweed: A Musical Journey from America's Got Talent to Nashville

Country singer Drake Milligan has released a new album titled Tumbleweed, which reflects his creative direction and career trajectory since his appearance on America's Got Talent in 2022. The 27-year-old artist from Fort Worth, Texas, describes the album as a blend of traditional Texas country, Western swing, and modern Nashville sound, capturing the essence of his hometown and his experiences on the road.

Working with producer Trent Willmon in Nashville, Milligan crafted a collection of songs that embody constant motion and the support system that keeps him grounded. Despite his whirlwind schedule of over 300 shows in the past three years, he acknowledges the importance of his family, friends, and fans who provide guidance and stability in his life.

One standout track from the album is "Old Flames, Old Whiskey," released on Oct. 17, which Milligan describes as a nostalgic reflection on the past brought to life by a sip of whiskey. His songwriting process is inspired by various experiences on tour, often starting with a memorable melody or line that evolves through collaboration and storytelling.

Milligan is gearing up for an extensive world tour this fall, starting with a performance at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl on Nov. 11 and including stops at the Grand Ole Opry and venues across Europe in 2026. After supporting artists like Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, and Blake Shelton, he is excited to headline his own shows and connect with fans through his new music.

Fans can now listen to Tumbleweed and experience Milligan's authentic storytelling and musical journey.
