Journalism Set to Shine at Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational

Journalism is gearing up for the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 24. Co-owner Don Alberto Corp. revealed that the decision to target this prestigious race was made after discussions with Coolmore, who will stand Journalism at its Ashford Stud upon retirement. The agreement includes sharing purse earnings equally between Coolmore and the remaining ownership partners, highlighting a partnership based on history, vision, and excellence.
Trained by Michael McCarthy, Journalism was acquired as a yearling for $825,000 and has amassed $3.4 million in earnings. His impressive resume includes victories in three Grade 1 stakes this year: the Santa Anita Derby, Preakness, and Haskell. Despite finishing as a runner-up in the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Pacific Classic (G1), Journalism has consistently showcased his talent on the racetrack. His most recent performance saw him secure a fourth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Classic.
With a promising future ahead, Journalism's upcoming appearance at the Pegasus World Cup Invitational is highly anticipated. His success on the track and potential for further achievements make him a standout contender in the world of horse racing.
