Auburn Men's Tennis Team Ready to Compete at ITA South Sectional Championships

Auburn men's tennis team is gearing up for the ITA South Sectional Championships, which will be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia from Thursday to Sunday. This tournament serves as a gateway to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships at the end of the fall season. Representing the Tigers in singles are Billy Blaydes and Hamza Nasridinov, while the doubles teams of Billy and Freddy Blaydes, as well as Joey Phillips and Nicholas Heng, will also be competing.

Nasridinov has had a stellar fall season in singles, boasting a 10-1 record. Phillips and Heng have also shown promise as a doubles pair, making it to the semifinals at the ITA Southern Regionals last month after securing three consecutive victories. The singles draw will feature 32 players, with the top four and two quarterfinal playoff winners earning spots in the NCAA Singles Championship. The doubles draw will consist of 16 teams, with the top two teams and the third-place team securing bids to the NCAA Doubles Championship.

Fans can catch the action live on GeorgiaDogs.com, where the tournament will be streamed. Additionally, live results and updated draws will be available on wearecollegetennis.com. Stay tuned to see how the Auburn men's tennis team fares in this exciting competition.
