AGC Studios to Launch Sales at AFM for Psychological Thriller 'Phantom Son' Directed by David Yates and Starring Renée Zellweger

AGC Studios is set to fully finance and launch sales at AFM on the upcoming psychological thriller film, Phantom Son, which will be directed by David Yates and star Renée Zellweger. The film follows Audrey, a woman who believes a runaway is her long-lost kidnapped son, leading to a twisted cat-and-mouse game. The screenplay is written by Ian Scott McCullough and Zellweger. Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with additional casting currently in progress.
Zellweger, known for her acclaimed roles in films like Julia, Cold Mountain, Bridget Jones, and Chicago, collaborated with Carmella Casinelli to develop Phantom Son under their Big Picture Co. The project attracted Yates as the director, and AGC Studios joined as the financing and co-producing partner. Zellweger and Casinelli expressed excitement about the project's potential to resonate with audiences on a large scale due to its character-driven storytelling. AGC International and CAA Media Finance will handle worldwide rights for the film.
In addition to Phantom Son, AGC Studios' AFM sales lineup includes the psychological thriller Tumor, featuring Sam Rockwell, and the breakout film My Old Ass starring Maisy Stella. The collaboration between Zellweger, Yates, and AGC Studios promises to deliver a unique and compelling cinematic experience for audiences worldwide.
