Gavrikov opened the scoring for the Rangers in the first period, followed by Stephenson's equalizer on a power-play opportunity. Laba quickly restored New York's lead, but Montour leveled the score at 2-2 in the second period with his third goal in two games.
Despite a potential goal being overturned in the second period, the Rangers maintained their composure and limited Seattle to a franchise-record low of 13 shots on goal. Cuylle sealed the victory for New York in overtime with a well-placed snap shot from the right circle, completing the sweep of their road trip. The Kraken will look to bounce back when they face the Chicago Blackhawks at home on Tuesday night.
