Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" Biopic Struggles at Domestic Box Office: A Closer Look

The movie "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" starring Jeremy Allen White as The Boss is facing a decline at the domestic box office. The biopic, focusing on Bruce Springsteen's life during the early 1980s while recording his Nebraska album, opened in fourth place with $8.8 million in ticket sales. However, it dropped to seventh place in its second weekend, earning $3.8 million. Despite its international ticket sales of $14.3 million, the film has earned a total of $30.5 million so far, falling short of its $55 million production budget.

The movie showcases Springsteen's decision to record a rock album in a remote house in New Jersey, resulting in the creation of the Nebraska album. The film includes flashback scenes of Springsteen's childhood with his parents, played by Stephen Graham and Gaby Hoffman. Directed by Scott Cooper, the biopic also features Odessa Young as Faye and Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau.

In comparison, Paramount Pictures' "Regretting You" based on a novel by Colleen Hoover topped the Halloween weekend box office with $8.1 million in ticket sales. Universal Pictures' horror sequel "Black Phone 2" and Sony Pictures Entertainment/Crunchyroll's anime feature "Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc" followed closely in second and third place, respectively. Netflix's "KPop Demon Hunters" and Emma Stone's "Bugonia" also performed well at the box office.

The 40th-anniversary re-release of "Back to the Future" is projected to earn $4.7 million, surpassing "Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere" in box office rankings. The final box office numbers for the weekend will be revealed on Monday.
