Remembering Adam Greenberg: A Tribute to the Acclaimed Cinematographer

We are saddened to announce the passing of acclaimed cinematographer Adam Greenberg at the age of 88. Greenberg, known for his work with renowned directors such as James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, and Barry Levinson, had a successful career that began in Israel before he made his mark in the United States in the 1980s.
One of Greenberg's early projects in the U.S. was the sex comedy "The Last American Virgin," a remake of the Israeli film "Lemon Popsicle," which he also shot for director Boaz Davidson. However, it was his collaboration with James Cameron on the 1984 film "The Terminator" that truly showcased his talent, blending a neo-noir aesthetic with a documentary style that reflected his roots in documentary filmmaking.
Greenberg's breakthrough came with the 1991 film "T2: Judgment Day," a collaboration with Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron that earned him an Oscar nomination. His work on this iconic action movie solidified his reputation as one of the best cinematographers in Hollywood.
Throughout his career, Greenberg worked with a number of top Hollywood directors, including Barry Levinson, Ivan Reitman, Penny Marshall, and Rob Reiner. Despite some of these films being considered lowlights in the directors' careers, Greenberg's involvement demonstrated the trust and respect he garnered in the industry.
Adam Greenberg's final feature was the 2006 film "Snakes on a Plane," and his legacy continues to live on through his impressive body of work. We invite you to share your favorite work by Adam Greenberg and offer your condolences in the comments below as we remember this talented cinematographer.
