Fortnite x The Simpsons Crossover: Explore Springfield in the New Mini-Season
Fortnite fans are in for a treat with the highly anticipated crossover event, Fortnite x The Simpsons, launching today, November 1. This mini-season transforms the Battle Royale island into Springfield, the iconic town from The Simpsons, complete with familiar landmarks and characters. It serves as a transition before the start of Chapter 7.
Springfield takes over as the new battleground in Fortnite, offering players a chance to explore locations from the beloved animated series. The crossover was teased during Fortnitemares, with Bart’s treehouse making a cameo appearance on the map.
Selected creators were given early access to showcase the new Battle Pass, Springfield map, NPCs, and weapons. The Battle Pass includes Simpsons-themed skins, with Bart and Krusty making appearances in loading screens. Bart Simpson's skin will be available in the Item Shop, while Krusty's release is still uncertain.
In addition to the in-game content, a special Simpsons episode titled “Apocalypse D’Oh!” will premiere on Disney+ today, tying in with the Fortnite collaboration. There are speculations that players might be able to watch the episode in-game through a large screen event, although Epic has not confirmed this feature.
Epic Games is also introducing Companions, a new cosmetic type that allows players to bring animal sidekicks into battle. Leaks suggest that Disney-themed sidekicks could be coming soon, adding more excitement to the game.
