Rochester Celebrates Diversity and Inclusivity Through 3-on-3 Pee Wee Basketball Games

Seventy-five years ago, history was made in Rochester as Earl Lloyd became the first African American player to participate in an NBA game. To honor this milestone, the City of Rochester is organizing weekly 3-on-3 pee wee basketball games for children aged 7 to 9. These games are held every Saturday at the Rochester Community Sports Complex until November 22nd, promoting inclusivity and healthy competition among young athletes in the city. The initiative aims to provide children with opportunities for fun and competitive play, regardless of their backgrounds, while commemorating a significant moment in NBA history.
