Calbert Cheaney and NBA Veterans Join Peacock's College Basketball Analyst Team for 2025-26 Season

Former Indiana University basketball star Calbert Cheaney is set to make his debut as a college basketball analyst on Peacock this season. The network will broadcast five Indiana games this season and will provide coverage of college basketball throughout the season. Cheaney, a three-time All-American at Indiana and the Big Ten men's all-time leading scorer, brings his expertise to the analyst role after a successful 13-year NBA career. He previously served as IU's Director of Player Development and has a strong connection to the Hoosiers, having led the team in scoring during his collegiate career.
In addition to Cheaney, Peacock will feature other new analysts this season, including former Iowa Head Coach Lisa Bluder, NBA veterans Brendan Haywood and Evan Turner. The network's coverage will also include returning voices such as Noah Eagle, John Fanta, and Robbie Hummel for men's college basketball, and Zora Stephenson, Sloane Martin, and Aliyah Boston for women's games. The 2025-26 college basketball schedule on NBC Sports will showcase nearly 200 men's and women's games from the Big 12, Big Ten, and BIG EAST conferences.
The college basketball coverage on NBC Sports will kick off on November 5, with nearly 200 games livestreaming exclusively on Peacock. The network's basketball coverage spans across the NBA, WNBA, and college basketball, offering more than 300 live games on NBC and Peacock in the 2025-26 season. The lineup of commentators for men's and women's coverage includes play-by-play announcers, game analysts, and studio hosts who will provide in-depth insights and analysis throughout the season. Eligible students can also take advantage of a special Peacock student discount offer for $2.99 per month to access the extensive college basketball coverage on the platform.
