Remembering Nick Mangold: A Tribute to the Former New York Jets Center

Former New York Jets center Nick Mangold passed away at the age of 41 after battling chronic kidney disease. Mangold, a first-round draft pick from Ohio State in 2006, spent his entire 11-year career with the Jets. He was a key player in leading the team to consecutive AFC Championship Games in 2009 and 2010. Known for his leadership and toughness, Mangold was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and received two All-Pro honors.
Recognized for his contributions to the team, Mangold was inducted into the Jets' Ring of Honor in 2022. He was also named as a nominee for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Mangold is survived by his wife, Jenny, and their four children.
