Lincoln Honors James Valentine: Canopy Street Renamed to James Valentine Blvd

The City of Lincoln is honoring hometown musician James Valentine, the lead guitarist for Maroon 5, by renaming a section of Canopy Street in the Railyard to "James Valentine Blvd." The temporary street signs will be up at Canopy and "R" streets until Wednesday, October 29, in conjunction with Maroon 5's concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Tuesday, October 28.

Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird expressed excitement about celebrating James Valentine's return to Lincoln and the band's performance at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The honorary renaming of Canopy Street is a way for the city to welcome Valentine back home and acknowledge his talent that continues to captivate fans worldwide.

James Valentine, a graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School, has been a member of Maroon 5 since its early days. The band has achieved significant success, selling over 135 million records and earning three Grammy Awards and three American Music Awards.

For those interested in attending the concert, a limited number of tickets are still available for purchase on ticketmaster.com or at the Pinnacle Bank Arena box office. Don't miss the chance to see James Valentine and Maroon 5 perform live in Lincoln!
