The Road: A Journey to Country Music Stardom

Country music superstar Keith Urban is teaming up with Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan to produce a new reality TV show called The Road. The show follows 12 emerging artists as they tour with Keith Urban and open for him at various music venues across the country. After each show, the audience will provide feedback, and Shelton and Urban will decide who to send home each week.
The winner of The Road will receive a $250,000 cash prize and a recording contract with Country Road Records, a division of 101 Studios in partnership with Thirty Tigers. Additionally, the champion will get a performance slot at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in 2026 and an exclusive prize pack from Red Bull, including the opportunity to perform at Red Bull Jukebox.
Even the first and second runners-up on The Road won't leave empty-handed. They will receive five recording sessions at Red Bull Studio Los Angeles, a state-of-the-art recording space with a full range of instruments and cutting-edge equipment to support their music.
Country singer Gretchen Wilson serves as the contestants' tour manager on The Road, alongside Keith Urban and Blake Shelton. Wilson believes that the trio's diverse backgrounds bring unique perspectives to the show and are valuable to the contestants. The show airs on CBS on Sundays at 9 p.m. Eastern.
