London Summit: World Leaders Meet to Escalate Pressure on Moscow and Support Ukraine

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy visited Windsor Castle's Quadrangle for a meeting with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and other leaders to discuss increasing pressure on Moscow and enhancing Ukraine's defenses. Upon arrival, he received a royal salute and the Ukrainian national anthem was played. Zelenskyy inspected the 1st Battalion of the Grenadier Guards and expressed gratitude to the guard. Members of the public observed from the quadrangle gates. Subsequently, Zelenskyy had an audience with the King inside the castle.

The Prime Minister will convene a meeting in London with world leaders, including Zelenskyy, to discuss strategies to escalate pressure on Moscow. Potential measures include disrupting the economy supporting Putin's war efforts by removing Russian oil and gas from the global market and utilizing frozen assets to support Ukraine's defenses. Zelenskyy, along with Denmark's Prime Minister, the Dutch Premier, and the NATO Secretary-General, will be present in London, with other leaders participating remotely in the "coalition of the willing" meeting led by Sir Keir and France's Macron.

Sir Keir plans to advocate for increased provision of long-range weapons following a successful attack on a chemical plant in Russia using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles. He emphasized that President Putin is the only party unwilling to end the war, evident from recent strikes on children in a nursery. The meeting aims to strategize on further actions to support Ukraine and pressure Moscow.
