Georgina Chapman Faces Foreclosure on NYC Apartment Amid Financial Struggles

Georgina Chapman, the former wife of Harvey Weinstein, is facing foreclosure on her New York City apartment. Legal documents show that Chapman took out a $2.5 million loan with CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC in 2022, which she has since defaulted on. The loan required monthly payments of $9,114.58 until February 2052. Chapman's brother, Edward Chapman, co-signed the mortgage with her.

In addition to the initial loan amount, Chapman now owes interest accrued since October 2024 and late charges. She is also facing a lawsuit from her apartment building's board for unpaid dues totaling $7,898.67. Chapman's financial troubles come four years after her divorce from Weinstein was finalized. The couple, who share two children, ended their marriage amid the #MeToo Movement revelations against Weinstein.

Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for charges related to sexual misconduct. Chapman has since moved on and is now dating actor Adrien Brody. The couple has been open about their relationship, with Brody publicly expressing his gratitude for Chapman and her children. Despite the challenges she has faced, Chapman continues to rebuild her life and focus on her family.
