Cupertinto": CBS's New Legal Drama Set in Silicon Valley for the 2026-2027 Season

CBS has officially greenlit the legal drama series "Cupertinto" for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. The show, created by Robert and Michelle King, will be produced under their King Size Productions banner. Mike Colter is set to star in the series, which is described as a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in Silicon Valley. The show follows a lawyer who is fighting against his former employer, a tech start-up, for his stock-options. He teams up with another fired attorney to represent those exploited by the tech elite in a high-stakes battle.
The Kings initially developed "Cupertinto" at CBS in 2024 as part of their overall deal with CBS Studios. The network ordered a full writers room and a 13-episode script earlier this year. This project reunites the Kings and Colter, who previously worked together on the supernatural drama "Evil." Colter also appeared in the Kings' CBS series "The Good Wife" and its spinoff "The Good Fight."
Liz Glotzer is also an executive producer on "Cupertinto," with CBS Studios handling production. The Kings currently have another drama series, "Elsbeth," at CBS, which recently premiered its third season. CBS has already lined up two new series for the 2026-2027 season, including the drama "Einstein" starring Matthew Gray Gubler and the comedy "Ghosts," which has been renewed for a sixth season.
In conclusion, CBS is gearing up for an exciting lineup of new shows for the upcoming season, with "Cupertinto" joining the network's roster of compelling dramas. The legal series promises to deliver a gripping narrative set in the competitive landscape of Silicon Valley, offering viewers a fresh and engaging storyline to look forward to.
