Arrest Made in Downtown Memphis Shooting Incident Involving Rappers Sayso P and Sauce Walka
A suspect involved in a shooting incident in downtown Memphis that resulted in the death of rapper Sayso P and the injury of rapper Sauce Walka has been apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Clarksville, Tennessee. The suspect, identified as Kevin “KJ” Brown Jr., 23, faces charges including first-degree murder, felony criminal attempt, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, and theft of property. The shooting occurred near the Westin Hotel in downtown Memphis, where multiple gunmen opened fire on the rappers before fleeing the scene. Another suspect in the shooting, Jayden Dandridge, was found deceased in Houston before the warrant could be executed.
Latorian Hunt, known as Sayso P, was found dead at the scene, while Albert Mondane, known as Sauce Walka, sustained critical injuries. Sayso P, a Memphis native who resided in Miami, was visiting a sick relative in town and had plans to return home. The arrest of Kevin Brown took place at a motel in Clarksville without any issues, and he is now in custody at the Montgomery County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings by the Memphis Police Department.
