Jaromir Jagr's Hall of Fame Wait Continues: A Look Back at His Legendary Career

NHL icon Jaromir Jagr will have to wait another year for his potential induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, as he continues to play professionally for Rytiri Kladno in the Czech Republic. Jagr, who started his career with Kladno in 1988 before being drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1990, went on to have a remarkable 24-season NHL career, winning two Stanley Cup titles with the Penguins in his first two seasons.
Throughout his NHL career, Jagr played for various teams, including the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers, and Calgary Flames. With 766 goals and 1,921 points in 766 career games, Jagr is currently second on the NHL's all-time points list. Despite his impressive career, he will have to wait until he has been out of professional hockey for three years before being eligible for Hall of Fame induction.
At the age of 45, Jagr played his final NHL game with the Calgary Flames in 2017. He then returned to Kladno, where he played 39 games last season, scoring five goals and tallying 16 points. While his Hall of Fame induction is almost certain, Jagr will have to wait until he meets the eligibility criteria before being officially considered for the prestigious honor.
