Steve McBee Sr. Sentenced to Two Years in Prison for Crop Insurance Fraud
Steve McBee Sr. has been sentenced to two years in prison for crop insurance fraud. The sentencing was handed down in Kansas City, Missouri, and McBee must self-surrender by December 1. In addition to his prison term, he will also serve two years of supervised release and pay over $4 million in restitution. McBee pleaded guilty to federal crop insurance fraud in November 2024, admitting to submitting false reports to Rain and Hail, a company reinsured by the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation. He underreported his 2018 corn and soybean crops, resulting in fraudulent insurance benefits and subsidies. Despite his absence from Season 2 of the family's reality show, McBee Dynasty, the show has been renewed for a third season.
