10th Annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards Nominations Announced: Raoul Peck's "Orwell: 2+2=5" Leads with Seven Nominations

The nominations for the 10th annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards have been announced, with Raoul Peck's "Orwell: 2+2=5" leading with seven nominations and Geeta Gandbhir's "The Perfect Neighbor" following closely with six nominations. "Orwell: 2+2=5" received nominations in seven out of the 17 competitive categories, including Best Documentary Feature. Other nominees in this category include "The Perfect Neighbor," "2000 Meters to Andriivka," "The Alabama Solution," "Pee-wee as Himself," "Apocalypse in the Tropics," "Cover-Up," "Deaf President Now!," "Riefenstahl," and "The Tale of Silyan."
The winners will be announced on November 9 during a ceremony at Manhattan's Edison Ballroom, hosted by Aasif Mandvi. The event will be livestreamed on various platforms, including YouTube, X, Facebook, and the Critics Choice Association's website.
During the ceremony, Ken Burns will receive the Critics Choice Impact Award, and Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady will be honored with the CCA's lifetime achievement award, the Pennebaker Award. Notable nominees include Apple TV's "Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost," NBC and Peacock's documentaries related to "Saturday Night Live's" 50th anniversary season, and HBO Max's "My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay."
