Zoey Tice: The Young Environmentalist Making a Difference in Muskegon
A young girl from Michigan, Zoey Tice, has taken it upon herself to clean up her city of Muskegon. She has been picking up litter along the roadside and has partnered with the city commissioner to launch a community-led effort to keep the city clean and free of trash. Zoey was inspired to start this cleanup effort when she saw a bird picking up a cigarette butt and placing it in its nest at the age of 7. Her grandmother, initially concerned about her picking up trash without gloves, now joins her on walks equipped with gloves and trash bags to clean up the community together. Zoey's dedication to cleaning up Muskegon has gained national recognition, with her story being featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She hopes to inspire kids of all ages to stand up for causes they believe in and make a difference in their communities. Zoey's efforts were rewarded with an all-inclusive vacation to Jamaica as a surprise for her and her family.
