Remembering John Lodge: A Tribute to the Iconic Lead Singer of The Moody Blues

The iconic lead singer of The Moody Blues, John Lodge, has passed away at the age of 82. His family confirmed his sudden and unexpected death, stating that he peacefully slipped away surrounded by loved ones and the music of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly. Lodge joined The Moody Blues in 1966, taking on the role of bassist and lead singer on their most famous albums, such as "Days Of Future Passed" and "In Search Of The Lost Chord." Throughout their career, the band sold over 70 million albums worldwide.
In addition to his work with The Moody Blues, Lodge released a solo album titled "10,000 Light Years Ago" in 2015 and wrote and recorded "These Crazy Times" during the COVID-19 lockdown. Despite no longer producing studio albums, Lodge continued to perform with the band until 2018. In 2019, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Annual Prog Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame the previous year.
Lodge's family, including his wife Kristen and two children, expressed their heartbreak over his passing but emphasized his enduring love for his family, music, and faith.
