Meet the Cast of This City is Ours Season 2: Shaun Evans and Álvaro Morte Join the Lineup
Shaun Evans and Álvaro Morte have been cast in the BBC crime drama This City is Ours for its second season. They will be joining the returning cast members James Nelson-Joyce, Hannah Onslow, Jack McMullen, Mike Noble, Julie Graham, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson. Evans will play Ozzie Thomas, a former gangster, while Morte will portray Felipe Guzman, a member of the Colombian cartel and the younger brother of Ricardo, who was killed in Season 1.
Season 2 of the series will pick up right after the events of the first season, with Michael and Diana being pulled back into the investigation surrounding Ricardo's death. Tensions within the gang in Liverpool continue to rise, and an old-school gangster seeks compensation from the group. Filming has already begun in Liverpool and Spain for the new season.
This City is Ours is produced by Left Bank Pictures for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The series was commissioned by Lindsay Salt, the Director of BBC Drama. Stephen Butchard, the creator of the show, is the lead writer, with Robbie O'Neill contributing to an episode. The executive producers include Andy Harries, Rebecca Hodgson, and Sian McWilliams for Left Bank, along with Saul Dibb and Jo McClellan for the BBC. The directors for the new season are Saul Dibb and Chris Baugh, with Simon Maloney as the series producer and Nathan Juckes as the block two producer. Sony Pictures Television will handle the international distribution of the series.
