Jorma Kaukonen's 85th Birthday Celebration Tour: Special Shows and New Live Album Release

Jorma Kaukonen is gearing up to celebrate his 85th birthday with a series of special shows this fall. The Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna co-founder will be hitting the stage for four concerts as part of his 85th Birthday Celebration tour. The tour will feature special guests like Steve Earle, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and Jack Casady, his former bandmate. Additionally, Kaukonen will be releasing a new live album titled Wabash Avenue on Nov. 28, coinciding with Record Store Day, featuring a 1965 performance from his early days.

The fall tour kicks off on October 24 in Buffalo with an Acoustic Hot Tuna concert. The tour will include stops in Geneva, New York; Wilmington, Delaware; and Ann Arbor, Michigan, before wrapping up in Columbus on Dec. 18. The highlight of the tour will be the 85th Birthday Celebration shows in Washington, D.C., New York City, San Francisco, and Denver.
