The inaugural Royal Gorge Rumble high school mountain bike race in Cañon City was a resounding success, with the CCHS Tigers showcasing their skills and team spirit. The Tigers clinched the first-place team title in Division 2, with standout performances from several riders. Notable finishers included Heidi Numsen in the Varsity Girls category, TJ Evagash in JV Boys, and Saioa Paternain-Hernandez in JV Girls. A total of eighteen CCHS Tigers have secured spots in the upcoming high school mountain biking state championship races, scheduled to take place in Glenwood Springs on October 18-19.
