Yungblud's Changes Rendition Makes Top 10 in New Zealand's Rock 2000 Countdown

New Zealanders have voted Yungblud's rendition of Black Sabbath's Changes as the seventh best rock song ever. To celebrate this achievement, a projection of Ozzy Osbourne's face was displayed on the Sky Tower in Auckland, the tallest building in New Zealand. The Rock 2000 countdown, an annual poll by NZ radio station The Rock, saw Black Sabbath's War Pigs claim the top spot this year, followed by Ozzy Osbourne's Mama I'm Coming Home at number 2. Other notable Ozzy songs in the Top 50 included Crazy Train, No More Tears, Hellraiser, and See You On The Other Side, along with Black Sabbath classics like Paranoid, Iron Man, and NIB.
The Top 10 list also featured local acts like Blindspott and Shihad, with Black Sabbath's War Pigs leading the pack. The rankings reflected the current events and emotional performances, with Yungblud's version of Changes making a significant impact on the list. The Sky Tower has a history of being associated with rock music, as seen in 2023 when Black Smoke Trigger filmed a music video featuring guitarist Charlie Wallace bungee-jumping off the building while playing the guitar.
