Public Enemy Rocks Jimmy Kimmel Live with Classic Hits and Message of Empowerment

Public Enemy recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, performing a medley of their classic hits like “Don’t Believe the Hype,” “The Hits Just Keep on Comin’,” and “Fight the Power.” The rap group took the stage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where Jimmy Kimmel was hosting a series of shows, and showed support for the host amidst his recent issues with the FCC and Donald Trump. Flavor Flav made a statement to Kimmel before launching into their iconic songs, displaying the message “Fight the Power” on his jacket.
The group's performance included their 1988 hit “Don’t Believe the Hype” and concluded with “Fight the Power,” a track originally created for Spike Lee’s film Do the Right Thing in 1989. Public Enemy surprised fans with their latest LP, Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025, released in June on Bandcamp. Chuck D expressed gratitude to their fans for their support, while Flavor Flav emphasized the group's commitment to bringing their music to audiences worldwide.
Public Enemy has been actively touring during the summer and fall seasons, with upcoming performances scheduled at Reggae Rise Up in Las Vegas on Oct. 4 and Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California, on Nov. 14. The band's latest album and live shows aim to connect with fans and deliver their signature beats to audiences who may not be able to attend their live performances.
