Former NFL Quarterback Jay Cutler Begins Jail Sentence for 2024 DUI Charge in Tennessee
Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler has begun serving a sentence related to a 2024 DUI charge by checking into a Tennessee jail. Cutler, 42, was booked into Williamson County Jail and is expected to be released by Friday. The sentence follows a guilty plea to one count of misdemeanor DUI after a 2024 accident in Franklin, Tenn., where Cutler rear-ended another vehicle and showed signs of intoxication. In addition to jail time, Cutler was ordered to fulfill certain requirements by the judge. While serving his sentence, Cutler faces a civil lawsuit filed by the man involved in the crash, Perry Lee, who alleges that Cutler was intoxicated and at fault for the collision, causing him physical pain, emotional distress, and financial hardship. The lawsuit is ongoing.
