Ford Super Duty Pickup Recall: Steering Wheel Detachment Issue

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for more than 115,000 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty pickups manufactured in 2020 and 2021. The recall is due to a potentially dangerous issue where the steering wheel could detach from the column while the vehicle is in motion. Ford has notified owners of the affected vehicles to bring their pickups in for inspection. Interim owner notification letters are expected to be sent out between October 6, 2025, and October 10, 2025, with remedy letters to follow by the end of the year. Owners can check if their vehicle is part of the recall by searching the VIN number online. If the pickup fails the inspection, the dealer will either reinforce the steering column or replace the faulty parts.
