The event, which saw around 55,000 runners, took place on a track known for its speed. Styles, using the pseudonym Sted Sarandos and sporting a headband and sunglasses, finished the marathon in 2 hours, 59 minutes, 13 seconds, achieving a coveted sub-3 hour mark.

Reports from Der Tagesspiegel revealed that Styles had been seen training in Berlin leading up to the marathon. At the finish line, he was photographed alongside Richard Whitehead, a Paralympic gold medalist in the 200 meters event. Whitehead, aiming to run 20 marathons in a year, shared the photo on Instagram, showcasing Styles' participation in the race.
