Taylor Swift is set to kick off her new era, "Life of a Showgirl," with a special theatrical event to celebrate the release of her upcoming album. The event, titled "Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl," will take place at all AMC Theatres on October 3. The event will start at 3 p.m. ET and run through October 5, with fans across different time zones able to participate simultaneously. Tickets for the event are available at AMC, Cinemark, and Regal theaters.
The 89-minute feature will premiere the music video for "The Fate of Ophelia" along with behind-the-scenes footage, album commentary from Swift, and lyric videos for the 12 tracks on her 12th studio album. AMC has allowed guests to sing and dance during the event, but standing on seats or blocking aisles is prohibited. The screenings will start promptly at the advertised time without any trailers or ads preceding the event.
The "release party" will be available in over a dozen countries, including Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the U.K., and Sweden, between October 3-5. The event will be accessible in over 100 countries, with some international screenings scheduled for later in October. Swift's "Eras Tour," which concluded in December after 149 shows, was the first tour to gross over $1 billion and remains the highest-grossing tour ever.
Swift announced her new album, "The Life of a Showgirl," during her podcast appearance on Travis Kelce's "New Heights" in August.
