Frank Grillo Teases Return as Alvey Kulina in Potential Kingdom Revival

Frank Grillo is excited about the possibility of returning to his role as Alvey Kulina for another season of Kingdom. He recently discussed ideas with executive producer Byron Balasco and actor Jonathan Tucker to potentially bring the show back for an eight-episode run. Grillo played Alvey for three seasons alongside Tucker and Nick Jonas, among others.
While Grillo has moved on to other projects, such as his role in the Marvel and DC Comics franchises, he still has a special connection to Alvey. He is currently starring as Rick Flag Sr. on HBO’s Peacemaker and is set to reprise his role as Kansas City gangster Bill Bevilaqua in Paramount+’s Tulsa King. Grillo shared that playing Bevilaqua is a different experience from playing Alvey, as the character has a more Midwestern and hick-ish vibe.
Grillo's involvement in Tulsa King came about after receiving a call from Sylvester Stallone, who invited him to join the cast. The actor was initially supposed to die in the second season of the show but managed to survive. He hinted at a potential storyline in the upcoming season that may put his character in jeopardy once again.
Overall, Grillo is enthusiastic about the prospect of returning to Kingdom and reuniting with the cast and crew. Fans of the show can look forward to the possibility of seeing Alvey Kulina back in action for another season.
