Canadiens Training Camp Resumes with Intense Scrimmage and Player Highlights
The Canadiens Training Camp resumed at the CN Sports Complex with three teams hitting the ice. Captain Nick Suzuki led Team C through drills, with a total of 23 players in attendance. Following the practice session, a scrimmage took place, with Team A, led by Kirby Dach, Ivan Demidov, and Patrik Laine, facing off against Team B, featuring Josh Anderson, Jake Evans, and Brendan Gallagher. Demidov and Laine scored for Team A, securing a 2-1 victory over Team B in front of fans.
In the scrimmage, Demidov opened the scoring for Team A in the first period, followed by Laine's goal on a penalty shot in the second period. Team B managed to pull one back with Laurent Dauphin's late goal. The defensive lineup for Team A included Marc Del Gaizo, Kaiden Guhle, Lane Hutson, Owen Protz, and David Reinbacher, while Team B had Alexandre Carrier, Nathan Clurman, Charles Martin, Jayden Struble, and Arber Xhekaj rotating on the blue line.
The on-ice sessions will continue at the practice facility on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. as the teams prepare for the upcoming season.
