Montreal Canadiens 2025 Training Camp: A Preview of the Season Ahead

The Montreal Canadiens have announced the commencement of their 2025 training camp at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard. The camp will kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 17, with physical tests and medical examinations. It will run until Saturday, Oct. 4, in preparation for the team's season opener against the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
The camp roster comprises 60 players, including 34 forwards, 19 defensemen, and seven goaltenders. Among them, 42 players hold NHL contracts, 16 have AHL contracts, one player is on a tryout basis, and one is not signed to a contract. The coaching staff, led by head coach Martin St-Louis and his assistants, will oversee practices, games, and on-ice evaluations during the camp.
Additionally, the Laval Rocket coaching staff, headed by Pascal Vincent, will also be present at the training camp. The team is gearing up for an intense and productive training period to prepare for the upcoming season.
