Darana Raceway: A Historic Transformation in Greene County

A historic racetrack in Greene County, previously known as Kil-Kare Raceway, has been renamed Darana Raceway. The raceway, located at 1166 Dayton Xenia Road, unveiled a new sign indicating the name change. The International Hot Rod Association acquired the raceway in May and plans to enhance the pit stop area and add more stands. Originally built by the Marshall Brothers in 1951 as a 1/5-mile dirt track, the racetrack expanded to include a quarter-mile dragway in 1959, becoming a prominent venue for stock car and drag racing. Despite reaching out to the raceway's management for a statement, News Center 7 has not received a response. Stay tuned for further updates on this development.
