Rising Stars: Wolverhampton Wheelers Youth Cycling Club Shines in West Midlands Circuit Racing

Wolverhampton Wheelers Cycling Club, located at Aldersley Stadium, is gaining recognition in the local cycling community, particularly through the success of its young riders in circuit racing in the West Midlands. The club's youth athletes, ranging from 5 to 16 years old, have been participating in closed-circuit races and have demonstrated their skills by competing against top riders in the region. Club President Hugh Porter MBE and Olympic gold medallist Anita Lonsbrough are regular attendees at the Aldersley Velodrome, where they enthusiastically support the youth riders. They recently joined in celebrating the children's accomplishments, commending their dedication and sportsmanship. U10 rider Benjamin Stephens expressed his pride in the team's success, highlighting the strong individual performances and the collective support that led to winning the Team Award.
