Vicious: Dakota Fanning and Bryan Bertino's Terrifying Collaboration

Dakota Fanning and director Bryan Bertino have collaborated on a new horror movie titled Vicious, set to be released by Paramount Pictures. The film was initially slated for a theatrical release on August 8th but was later rescheduled to February 28th before being removed from the release schedule. Vicious will now have its world premiere at Fantastic Fest and will be available for digital and Paramount+ streaming on October 10th. The Motion Picture Association has given the film an R rating for strong bloody violence, grisly images, and language.
In Vicious, Dakota Fanning plays a young woman who receives a mysterious gift from a late-night visitor, plunging her into a nightmarish reality. The story follows Polly as she navigates a series of impossible choices in a terrifying world where reality distorts and memories deceive. The cast includes Devyn Nekoda, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Kathryn Hunter, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell.
Bryan Bertino, known for directing The Strangers, Mockingbird, The Monster, and The Dark and the Wicked, helms Vicious. The film is produced by Richard Suckle and Bertino, with Melinda Whitaker as executive producer alongside Shane Boucher. While Bertino focuses on Vicious, the Strangers franchise continues with a trilogy directed by Renny Harlin.
