Rocket Man Tribute: Watford FC Unveils Special-Edition Kit in Honor of Sir Elton John
Watford Football Club has introduced a special-edition kit to pay tribute to their renowned supporter and former chairman, Sir Elton John. The design of the shirt is inspired by the artwork from his 2017 "Diamonds" greatest hits album, featuring a subtle star motif on the front, silver Watford crest and Kelme logos, and the club's retro Happy Hornet badge on the hem. The collar and cuffs of the kit showcase additional star details, and the back of the shirt is embossed with lyrics from Elton John's classic song, "Your Song."
This unique strip, created in collaboration with Elton John himself, will be worn by the Hornets during their match against Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. The unveiling of this kit marks the start of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Elton John's appointment as Watford chairman in 1976, during which he played a pivotal role in guiding the club from the Fourth Division to the First Division.
