Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp 30th Anniversary Celebration with Roger Daltrey and Simon Townshend
Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp is gearing up to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026 with a special guest appearance by Roger Daltrey, the iconic frontman of The Who. The camp, scheduled for Jan. 29-Feb. 1, will also feature The Who’s Simon Townshend. Daltrey, who has participated in the camp six times in the past, expresses his excitement about the event, emphasizing the importance of having fun and reconnecting with musical roots.
Founded in 1996 by David Fishof, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp has been a platform for aspiring musicians to interact with rock legends, offering mentorship, jam sessions, and live performances. The upcoming anniversary camp in Miami will provide attendees with the unique opportunity to perform alongside Daltrey and Townshend, as well as showcase their talent at local venues like The Funky Biscuit.
In addition to the headliners, the camp will feature a lineup of renowned rock-star counselors who will conduct masterclasses, Q&As, jam sessions, and mentoring sessions. Musicians such as Tony Franklin, Jimmy Vivino, Gary Hoey, Eva Gardner, Joel Hoekstra, Vinny Appice, Derek St. Holmes, Joe Vitale, and Britt Lightning will be part of the camp, enriching the experience for participants.
Leading up to the milestone anniversary camp, Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp will host three camps later this year, featuring rock legends like Alice Cooper, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford, The Rascals’ Felix Cavaliere, Grand Funk Railroad’s Mark Farner, Chicago’s Jason Scheff, and Billy Joel’s Liberty DeVitto. These camps, held in Phoenix and Miami, cater to musicians of all levels, ensuring that each participant is placed in a suitable band based on their skills and experience.
As The Who embarks on its The Song Is Over-North American Farewell Tour, culminating in Las Vegas on Sept. 28, the anticipation for the 30th anniversary celebration of Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp continues to grow. With Roger Daltrey and Simon Townshend headlining the event, along with a stellar lineup of counselors, the camp promises to be a historic and unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts and aspiring musicians alike.
