Latest NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll Results: Sovereignty Holds Strong at the Top
The latest National Thoroughbred Racing Association Top Thoroughbred Poll shows no changes in the top 10 horses after a week of stakes action. Sovereignty, the winner of the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers Stakes, remains in the first position. Fierceness and Mindframe, both 4-year-olds, follow closely in the rankings. Fierceness won the Pacific Classic Stakes, while Mindframe had a strong start to the year before a rough race at the Jockey Club Gold Cup Stakes. Sovereignty received the most first-place votes in the poll.
The voting for the NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll is conducted by national media and determines the Horse of the Year. The poll will conclude on November 4, shortly after the Breeders' Cup World Championships at Del Mar. The full poll results and individual votes are available online.
