Rare Footage: John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and The Plastic Ono Band Perform 'Instant Karma!' at One to One Concerts
A newly discovered live video of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, and The Plastic Ono Band performing "Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)" in 1972 has been revealed. The footage was shared on the 53rd anniversary of their iconic One to One Concerts at Madison Square Garden. On August 30, 1972, the trio headlined the One to One Benefit Concert at Madison Square Garden, supported by Elephant's Memory and special guests. The event raised over $1.5 million to aid children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those from the Willowbrook State School in Staten Island.
The performance is part of the upcoming box set, Power to the People, which focuses on Lennon's politically charged era. The box set is set to be released on October 10, a day after what would have been Lennon's 85th birthday.
