Despite the chaotic start, Antiquarian, ridden by jockey John Velazquez, crossed the finish line first, clocking in at 2:02.16 for the 1 1/4-mile race. Sierra Leone and Highland Falls, who had previously finished 1-2 in the Whitney Stakes (G1), made impressive comebacks to secure second and fourth place, respectively. Phileas Fogg, initially third, was disqualified, bumping Highland Falls to third and White Abarrio to fourth.
