Box Office Showdown: 'Weapons' Dominates Fourth Weekend Against New Releases 'Caught Stealing,' 'The Roses,' and 'Toxic Avenger

This weekend at the box office, the crime thriller "Caught Stealing," the comedy "The Roses," and the unrated remake of "The Toxic Avenger" are all vying for attention, but they won't surpass the fourth weekend of "Weapons." "Caught Stealing" had a $3.2 million opening day and is projected to make $9.5 million over the holiday weekend. The movie received a "B" grade from Cinema Score.
"The Roses," an R-rated comedy from Searchlight Pictures, earned $2.4 million on Friday and is expected to make over $7 million during the four-day weekend. The film features a star-studded cast but received mixed reviews and a "B+" grade from Cinema Score.
"Jaws" is back in theaters for its 50th anniversary and is projected to make $9.7 million over the holiday weekend, securing the second spot on the domestic charts. "Weapons" is set to reclaim the top spot with a projected domestic total of $134 million by Labor Day.
"Freakier Friday" is holding strong in fourth place with a projected domestic total of $82 million. The unrated remake of "Toxic Avenger" is opening in theaters after struggling to find distribution and is not expected to make it into the top 10 at the box office.
