Dutch Grand Prix Weekend Drama: Norris Tops Timesheet, Stroll and Albon Crash Out

The Dutch Grand Prix weekend got off to a dramatic start as Lance Stroll and Alex Albon crashed out in the second practice session. Lando Norris topped the timesheet, narrowly beating Fernando Alonso. The windy conditions at the Zandvoort circuit made for a chaotic Friday for the drivers.

Norris set the fastest lap time of 1:09.890 in the second session, with Alonso closely behind him. Title leader Oscar Piastri finished just 0.002s behind Alonso. Piastri faced a potential penalty after a pit-lane incident with George Russell.

The session saw two red flags, one caused by Albon's Williams getting stuck in the gravel trap and the other by Stroll's heavy crash at Turn Three. Despite the setbacks, Stroll's Aston Martin had an otherwise impressive day.

Russell finished fourth, followed by Max Verstappen in fifth. Lewis Hamilton spun in both sessions but managed to secure the sixth spot. Charles Leclerc was eighth, with Ferrari struggling to keep up with the pace.

Yuki Tsunoda and Franco Colapinto rounded out the top ten, with a busy schedule planned for Saturday and Sunday. The Dutch Grand Prix promises to be an exciting race weekend for Formula 1 fans.
