Die Spitz Unveils Music Video for Latest Single 'Punishers' from Debut Album 'Something to Consume

Die Spitz, a promising new band from Austin, Texas, has unveiled the music video for their latest single, "Punishers," giving fans a taste of what to expect from their upcoming debut album, "Something to Consume." The quartet, set to release their album on Jack White's Third Man Records label on September 12, has already teased listeners with tracks like "Throw Yourself to the Sword" and "Pop Punk Anthem (Sorry For The Delay)." In "Punishers," drummer/guitarist/vocalist Chloe De St. Aubin takes the lead vocals, delving into themes of punishment and frustration caused by withholding love or jealousy.

The music video for "Punishers" tells the story of a sad clown yearning to shine despite her lack of talent, reflecting the song's themes of longing and desperation. Die Spitz, consisting of vocalists/guitarists Ellie Livingston and Ava Schrobilgen, along with bassist Kate Halter, draw inspiration from bands like Black Sabbath, PJ Harvey, Pixies, Mudhoney, and Nirvana. Their electrifying performance at London's Downstairs at the Dome left a lasting impression, with some hailing them as the "best new band in the world."

The tracklist for "Something to Consume" includes a mix of energetic and introspective tracks, such as "Pop Punk Anthem (Sorry for the Delay)," "Voir Dire," "American Porn," and "RIDING WITH MY GIRLS." Die Spitz's unique sound and captivating stage presence have earned them a spot as the supporting act for Viagra Boys on their North American tour starting from September 10. With their debut album on the horizon, Die Spitz is poised to make a significant impact on the music scene with their raw and powerful sound.
